Vanilla salt is wonderful and tasty any time of year but it’s especially yummy on all the delicious melons that are in season right now. It is even delicious on the sweet corn on the cob that is plentiful for the next few weeks.
Some more delicious uses include, but are not limited to: rimming Margarita glasses, salted caramels, sprinkle on roasted sweet potatoes…the possibilities are endless.
Indrivanilla’s vanilla salt is made with Italian Mediterranean sea salt infused with Indonesian vanilla beans.
Vanilla Salt can be used in many different applications.
One of our customers, Elizabeth, loved the vanilla salt she purchased on watermelon and she also shared this recipe that the vanilla salt will make just that much better! Can’t wait to try it, caramel popcorn is one of my favorite treats. The vanilla salt will make it irresistible!
Start with 8 cups popped popcorn
In a medium saucepan, bring
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup butter
1/4 Cup Corn Syrup
to boil over medium heat. Stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Once it comes to a boil, remove spoon and let boil for 3 minutes. Then remove from heat. Add 1 tsp Vanilla extract (of course using the extract you made with your Indrivanilla beans).
Pour over popcorn in large bowl, stir to evenly distribute caramel. Then sprinkle with coarse Vanilla Salt. Let it cool down and enjoy!
You can also make popcorn balls with this recipe.
Order vanilla beans before the end of July and you will get a FREE 3 ounce order of vanilla salt.
